The jewish calendar dates from the middle of the 4th century. It is a lunisolar calendar, the months are lunar months (around 29 days) and one adds one month regularly to keep it synchronized with the seasons (and the solar year).

It counts 12 months of 29 or 30 days the 'normal' years and 13 months the leap years. The 13th month is always the last of the year and it has the same name than the month before it with a distinctive information. The leap years are the years 3, 6, 8, 11, 14, 17 and 19 of a 19 years cycle (Metonic cycle).

The numerous feasts are not calculated by this software.
